A couple years ago, I did a live tour.

Many of you have been asking me when I’m going to do my next live tour, and there’s nothing on the cards right now, but there were so many people who regretted not coming out to that tour when it happened.

What you don’t know is that the entire tour was something that the wonderful Jameson Jordan [my director] shot beautifully in every single location we went to. And we had this big idea at the time: We were going to create a movie on that tour called The Love Myths.

The entire theme of this tour was that there are certain things we’ve always been told about love, about dating, about how to find love, about what love is, that actually don’t serve us. They are myths. And this tour was put in place, not just for me to talk about what those myths are and to bust those myths, but to also talk about what the real truths are.

And the real truths about love and dating, and what gets us results in this part of our lives, are often extremely counterintuitive, which is why we don’t just discover them on our own a lot of the time. It’s why we have to hear them. It’s why we have to change our wiring sometimes to be successful in dating, because everything has been wiring us for failure in this area.

So I went around the world talking about this. It was my favorite tour I have ever done. And Jameson used it to put together an extraordinary 90-minute movie called The Love Myths.

Now originally, we had a deal for this to be screened in movie theaters across America for one very special night. And we were going to tell all of our audience and our fans, “Hey, in your local town, grab a friend, tell someone you know who needs help in their love life. This is going to be coming to a movie theater near you.”

Then Covid hit and cinemas weren’t a thing. When the cinemas closed, we considered going to the streaming services to see who might be interested in doing a one-of-a kind-event—the first of its kind—because who has ever created a romantic comedy special that is actually designed not just to entertain you, but to transform your love life as you watch it?

We decided not to go down that route either, because we wanted to hold it back for a very special moment of our own. Well, we believe we have found that moment.

This December, we are going to be airing a very special premiere screening of The Love Myths movie.

Now, before I tell you how you can access this event, here is a trailer of that movie.

Matthew Hussey:
I’ve been called over the course of my career, all sorts of names that I hate, from “the real-life Hitch” to “the Anthony Robbins of dating,” to “Harry Potter with bulbous arms.”

We have a world that’s posing as the most connected world we’ve ever lived in, but there’s no depth and we are lonely, and none of us talk about it because it’s not sexy to talk about.

We have six myths to cover today—the myths and the truths.

Many of us think that when we find the right relationship, everything in our lives is going to change, but the truth is that the battle is won now.

Speaker 2:
My expectations and my standards were unrealistic because I like physical touch.

Matthew Hussey:
So then, why are you with that person?

Speaker 2:
I don’t know.

Matthew Hussey:
Do not waste your time. You’re an expert on women. I’m an expert on the ways women fuck up their lives.

Speaker 3:
Why is he still around? Why is he still hanging around?

Matthew Hussey:
Because you’re still hanging around.

You know what drives me a bit crazy? It’s the narrative of “good and bad guys.” Are there really truly shitty guys? Yes, but there’s a ton of people in the middle who respond to what’s going on in front of them.

And anytime you go into a relationship without your confidence taken care of first, someone has a gun to your head and it’s loaded only by your insecurity.

The strength of a relationship is your ability to survive outside of the relationship. And the great irony is, relationships become better and stronger and more magical when you know you can survive without them.
